Launched in 2022, our Rising Tides Youth Program inspires and empowers future marine conservation leaders. We offer a balanced curriculum of classroom lessons and in-field studies, equipping young Bahamians with the skills, knowledge, and tools for marine science, environmental studies, conservation, and research. Our Rising Tides summer program continues to grow, welcoming new marine biology students each year while maintaining our core objectives.
If you know a Bahamian student interested in our Rising Tides summer program, here’s what they need to know. Applicants must:
- Be enrolled in a local senior school or grades 10-12 (based in New Providence, The Bahamas)
- Have reliable transportation for spring and summer sessions.
- Be willing to complete PADI scuba dive training courses
Recruitment for the next cohort of Rising Tides students begins in January and February of 2025. Mark your calendars! Learn more about our educational opportunities in The Bahamas here.
