For over 50 years, the Perry Institute for Marine Science (PIMS) has led marine research, conservation, and education across The Bahamas. We’ve made promising new discoveries, learned many lessons, and today our innovations and technologies are applied extensively throughout the region. We’ve assessed the health of hundreds of acres of coral reefs and mangrove forests; evaluated the status of critically endangered species; planted tens of thousands of corals and mangroves; and galvanized the protection of millions of acres of vital ocean habitat. As we close 2022, more than ever, we are excited to begin 2023 with a renewed commitment to our projects and partners across The Bahamas and Wider Caribbean!
But we can’t do this without you.
Our end-of-year fundraising campaign has a goal of $50,000 to support operations at PIMS and every donation helps to support our work throughout the Caribbean. Above all, your kind generosity enables us to preserve the ecological, economic, cultural, and spiritual value that healthy oceans provide to us each and every day of the year.
