The health of our oceans depends on gathering knowledge and sharing that knowledge with the world. At the Perry Institute for Marine Science, we use our research to educate government leaders, decision makers, students and teachers, conservation groups and others who are willing and able to make a difference. We provide them with the information they need to understand how the oceans work, why they're vital to our existence and, ultimately, how they can be repaired and protected.

Our educational programs focus on enhancing awareness of the condition of our oceans, working with governments to develop management strategies and improve decision making, and educating the next generation of marine scientists.

We offer Bahamas field courses for educational groups at our marine research center on Lee Stocking Island. If you would like more information, please contact us at 561.741.0192 ext. 113 or email us at
